App stores and subscription providers
-
When you purchase a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play, the payment is processed by Apple/Google.
-
We receive subscription status/entitlement information (e.g., active subscription, trial status) and may receive transaction identifiers needed to manage access.
Advertising, measurement, and analytics partners
-
We use third-party SDKs and services for analytics, attribution, and advertising measurement.
-
These partners may provide us with aggregated reports and/or event-level data tied to device identifiers.
3) What we do not collect (and what we ask you not to send)
-
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, biometric data, precise geolocation, or government IDs) as part of the normal operation of Lemonomics.
-
We do not ask for (and generally do not need) access to your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone to provide the core learning experience.
Please do not send sensitive information in support messages. If you voluntarily include it, we may process it only to respond to you and provide support.
4) How we use your information
We use personal information to:
-
Provide and operate the App and Site (create accounts, deliver lessons, maintain functionality).
-
Personalize and improve learning (e.g., saving progress, adapting lesson flow).
-
Analytics and product improvement (understand what works, fix bugs, improve usability and learning outcomes).
-
Security and fraud prevention (protect users, enforce policies, prevent abuse).
-
Communicate with you (support responses, service announcements, account notices).
-
Marketing and growth
-
Show Lemonomics ads on third-party platforms (retargeting) and measure campaign effectiveness.
-
Send push notifications and, if enabled in the future, emails (you can opt out of marketing communications).
We may also create and use aggregated or de-identified data (data that does not reasonably identify you). We may use this for analytics, research, and improving Lemonomics.
5) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we process your personal information under these legal bases:
-
Contract: to provide the App/Site and features you request (e.g., account creation, progress tracking).
-
Legitimate interests: to improve the App, understand usage, ensure security, and grow our business (balanced against your rights).
-
Consent: where required (e.g., certain cookies on the Site, marketing preferences where applicable).
-
Legal obligations: where we must comply with applicable laws (e.g., accounting/tax, responding to lawful requests).
6) Cookies and similar technologies (Site)
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Site to:
-
Operate the Site (necessary cookies)
-
Remember preferences (e.g., language settings)
-
Measure performance and understand Site usage (analytics cookies)
-
Support marketing and retargeting (marketing cookies), where permitted
Cookie choices and Cookiebot
We use a consent tool (such as Cookiebot) to help you manage cookies on the Site.
-
You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the cookie banner or by updating your preferences.
-
If you disable certain cookies, parts of the Site may not function properly.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Some browsers support the Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by applicable law and where technically feasible, we will treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of certain marketing cookies/retargeting on the Site.
7) Advertising and retargeting
In-app ads
Lemonomics may show ads in the free version of the App.
-
We intend to show non-personalized ads (also called “contextual” ads), meaning ads are not selected based on a profile of your behavior across apps and websites.
-
Even with non-personalized ads, ad networks may process device identifiers and technical data to:
-
deliver ads,
-
cap frequency,
-
detect and prevent fraud,
-
measure performance and generate reporting.
Retargeting (ads outside the App)
We may run retargeting campaigns on third-party platforms (for example, Google) so people who visited our Site or interacted with our ads may see Lemonomics ads later.
-
Retargeting typically uses cookies (on the Site) or device identifiers (on mobile) to measure and re-engage audiences.
-
This may involve sharing or making available certain identifiers to advertising partners.
Your advertising choices
-
Site cookies: Use the cookie banner/preferences tool on our Site to manage non-essential cookies used for marketing/retargeting.
-
Device ad settings: You can also limit ad tracking through your device settings (iOS/Android).
-
Contact us: You can request help opting out of certain marketing/retargeting activities by emailing support@lemonomics.app.
“Sale” / “sharing” under some U.S. laws
Under some U.S. state privacy laws, sharing identifiers for cross-context advertising may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information, even if no money is exchanged. See Section 12 for additional U.S. disclosures and opt-out rights.

protect rights, safety, and security of users or the public,

D) Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction (subject to appropriate protections).
9) International transfers
We are based in Austria, but our service providers may process data in other countries (including the United States) where they or their sub-processors operate.
Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and other lawful mechanisms.
10) Data retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We will also delete or anonymize associated data unless we need to keep certain information for legitimate purposes.

Subscription and billing records (primarily held by Apple/Google and/or reflected in entitlement logs)
-
Legal compliance (e.g., accounting/tax obligations)
-
Security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution

Purposes
We collect and use these categories for the purposes described in Section 4 (operation, personalization, analytics/product improvement, security, communications, marketing/retargeting).
“Sale” / “sharing” and opt-out
We do not sell personal information for money. However, as described in Section 7, we may share identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context advertising/retargeting, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws.
To opt out, you can:
-
adjust Site cookie preferences (marketing cookies), and/or
-
email support@lemonomics.app with the subject line “Do Not Sell/Share”.
Sensitive personal information
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out right (as defined by certain laws). If we ever need to, we will provide appropriate notice and choices.
Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Where required by law, you may appeal a decision regarding your privacy request by replying to our response email and stating that you would like to appeal.
13) Children’s privacy

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact support@lemonomics.app and we will take steps to delete it.
International note: If the law in your country requires a higher minimum age to consent to personal data processing, you must meet that higher age to use Lemonomics (or have a parent/guardian provide consent where required).
